When should I start looking?
Shopping early for your dress will allow you time to choose and make plans for the rest of your wedding. For a stress-free timeline, plan on ordering your dress 9 to 12 months prior to your wedding date. Dresses are made to order, and can take up to 5 to 10 months to produce, plus 2 to 3 months for tailoring.
For weddings under 6 months, we can offer some guidance and pieces. Please contact us for further information.
What is your average pricing and sizing?
Pricing - Have a budget in mind before you visit us. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to tell us you have a budget in mind.
Our dresses start at £800 and go up to £5000, with most of our gowns averaging around £1900. With a number of sample sales throughout the year and also dresses to buy off the rail, we can accommodate you and help you find your perfect wedding dress.
Sizing - We have samples in sizes UK 6 - 18. However, we can bespoke any size. If you have any concerns about sizes please give us a shout in advance.
Who can I bring to my appointment?
We love having your loved ones, just note the max amount of guests a bride can bring is four. Remember that this is your moment, and too many opinions aren’t necessarily helpful and lead to confusion.
Please note that this has now changed due to Covid19, click here for further info.
Can I take photos at my appointment?
We don’t allow photos when you are trying on dresses, this is to protect the copyright of the Designer’s work. Also lighting and bad angles often distort the gown therefore giving a false impression. Once you have purchased your gown, you can take photos as you wish. Thank you!
Are alterations included in the price?
Alterations are not included in the final price, however we do provide an alteration service at Seraphim Bridal. Please note - some of our designer labels don’t offer a made to measure service. We will order the size closest to your measurements and then usually there will always be minor alterations to make your wedding dress perfect.
Additional tips/advice
Finding us & parking - We are located on the first floor of the building to the left of the roundabout as you approach Greyabbey village (above Tuk Tuk Asian Bistro). Give us a call if you get lost!
There is on-street parking right outside the building and also across the road. Trinity Presbyterian Church opposite us have also kindly offered to let clients park in their car park if necessary.
Preparations for your appointment - We recommend that you wear nude or very light underwear, which you will be comfortable being seen in for your appointment. A good, fitting bra is also a must please! We provide shoes from sizes UK 3 - 8. As you will step into most dresses it’s fine to wear light makeup, all we ask is that you don’t wear bright lipstick and fake tan as these stain our dresses. Thank you!
